This was the big day itself, though we'd already had the party last week in New York.
So we started with a sparkling toast of Codorníu Riserva Raventos cava, and appetizers made of Trader Joe's smoked salmon whipped with creamcheese and lime, spread on 34º Crispbread in rosemary flavor (check out all the flavors!)
Then a pair of NY strip steaks, small but an inch thick, simply grilled.
And alongside, a creamy turnip gratin.
The wine with dinner was 1988 Rully "Les Chaponnières" grand vin de Bourgogne, which is the last of the case of wines that Steve Dodson gave us for our wedding! So thanks, Steve - it lasted well, and so have we.
Coconut chip Graeter's with Holt's coconut chocolate macaroons made a suitably coco-nutty ending.
