Tuesday
17 July
This time
we succeeded in getting through the Paris airport in time to make our flight to
Cincinnati. So after the usual
8-hour flight, customs, security, security after the security, and a cab ride,
we arrived home in the hot and steamy late afternoon.
There had
been a near drought since we'd gone, but our kind catsitter had watered the
plants, and the garden was alive with produce, including zephyr squash and
sungold cherry tomatoes. Some of
the zephyrs were a mite overgrown, so we picked as many as we could, and for
dinner, we had them and a defrosted fillet of salmon, both pan-fried.
Ah, home.
