Peppered Mackerel with Broccoli

Thursday 9 January
The Co-op offered three fillets of well-peppered mackerel for a reasonable price; we broke two up (froze one) and tossed the fish flakes with stir-fried broccoli and garlic, with a generous squeeze of lemon juice. 

Despite the thick coating of peppercorns, these turned out to be unexpectedly light and savory, rather than overspiced.
