Findlay Market Feast

Saturday 2 August
We got six ears of peaches and cream corn at the Farmers' Market today, so the best thing to do was boil it all up, saving out three ears for future use, and eat the other three immediately.  We adorned them simply with butter, but we used our gourmet black and red salts, which was great because you could see exactly where it landed and how much was there.

We also picked up a big sweet Indiana melon, and again saving half for future use, adorned the rest with "prosciutto" we'd bought at Gibb's.  It looks pretty, and they say it's Italian, but it turns out that it's brined, not air-dried, and pretty tough.  It may be half the price of Silverglade's, but it's still not worth it.

Krause's, we miss you.
