Salmon with Guacamole

Saturday 25 January
Avocados are bossy fruit: they have to be used when they are ripe, not at your convenience.  So today we mashed up the ones we've been ripening in a bag since the Wednesday Gloucester Green Market, with lime juice and fresh cilantro (another houseplant Barbara can kill!).
Our main was some skinny slices of salmon, on sale at the Co-op.  We hate pre-sliced fish, and they had not even been de-scaled.  On the other hand, once we scraped them into shape and sautéed them with olive oil, butter, and lemon, they tasted pretty good.
