Pot Roast

Tuesday 13 January
We defrosted a big buster of a pot roast, and cooked it using our old standby, Julia Child's recipe.

Of course, in winter there are no fresh tomatoes, so we used a can of crushed and two sliced onions.  An hour before the end, threw in 3 sliced carrots, 3 parsnips, and 2 potatoes, and that's all we needed.
