Barbara was invited to a buffet at
the house of Hermione Lee, the president of Wolfson. The food, which included stew and prawns, was
at a higher level than Wolfson's usual cafeteria fodder, and anyway, you go to
these things to meet people, not for the food.
Holt went to Christ Church High
Table, for the food.
