Chicken and Purple Broccoli

We got back from our travels to an already-set-up meal: the chicken legs and thighs that had been marinating with onions, thyme and oil since Saturday, all ready to brown and braise in chicken broth.  
When it was tender, we topped it with flowerets of purple broccoli from the Farmers' Market, and gave it a little steam.
