Tuesday 8 October
After Sinclair's talk at the Art
Museum, Ann and Harry Santen kindly threw him a dinner party, inviting many
interesting people from the Cincinnati art and academic world to their house. It was fun to meet and chat as we drank
Harry's wine (which is always a good drop), and watched the moon rise over the river while snacking on cashews, crudités, and
red pepper hummus.
Dinner was straightforward and
delicious: smoked salmon rollups with capers, red onion and tzaziki;
spanakopites; broiled flank steak; and green salad.
There were brownies for dessert,
and the good conversation went from start to finish. So thanks, Ann and Harry!
