Potato-Sorrel Soup and Steaks



Monday 9 September
We started the day with a visit from our friend Jon, so had celebratory mimosas and a big frittata with chicken and goat cheese.
You might think that after that, we wouldn't have much for dinner; but you know us better than that, don't you?

Instead, we whipped up a cold potato and sorrel soup (still plenty of sorrel in the garden), which Holt marbled with cream in his usual impressive fashion.  We followed up with a couple of big ribeye steaks from the grill, served with leftover green beans from last Saturday.
