Otto's in Covington

Tuesday 3 September
We had visited Otto's last February while taking Lauren to her interview dinner.  She liked it so much she took Steven and us there again tonight, for a lecture dinner with our visiting speaker Jackie.  And the weather was so pleasant that we were able to eat outdoors.
We had forgotten what we had before, so again we went for their very good fried green tomato caprese, though our other choice, chicken sausage soup, was rather bland and watery.
As before, we enjoyed their excellent beef filet Otto's, with blue cheese sauce, asparagus, and potatoes, while the new main was an interesting chicken cordon bleu in phyllo pastry with vegetable gratin.
Everyone's dishes went well with an Oyster Bay New Zealand sauvignon blanc; and the total bill didn't go over the mingy dinner allowance that UC enforces.  So we will be happy to go back to Otto's again.
