We had Tom over tonight, as he was
leaving for a trip back to Australia tomorrow.
So a long-simmered pot-roast à la Julia, with turnips, carrots, and a
potato or two bubbling along with it, was perfect.
And of course we ended with a dessert
of friands and ice cream. Have a good
trip home, Tom, and a happy, healthy return.
