Sunday Salads


Sunday 14 April
A light dinner, for which the centerpiece was a Spanish potato salad that Holt threw together yesterday so it could marinate overnight.
Other salady items included sliced roasted beets marinated with balsamic and sprinkled with goat cheese; bruschette of Holt's pane pugliese topped with a mix of tomato, oregano, oil, salt, pepper and rosemary, and then white anchovy fillets from Dean's; cole slaw; sliced Schad's ham; hummus; and sundry cheeses from yesterday.  
Such spreads encourage browsing and conversation, in both of which we and Katharine were happy to indulge (and don't forget the chocolate covered strawberries and brandy at the end).
