Tonight was our departmental
holiday party, and one of Kathleen's students, Dennis, volunteered to bring a
whole setup of Skyline chili and coneys (he has a franchise). So he dished out that Cincinnati classic,
along with snacks like pigs in blankets, olives, green and pasta salads, and, of course, wines,
beers, and soft drinks.
The desserts were brought by
participants, and often made by them as well.
There were Peter's fritters, Chris's butterscotch pie, key lime pie,
giant cherry cheese danish, and many other baked treats and cookies.
So thanks to all, and especially to Kathleen,
Steve, and Dennis.
