Holt was giving a lecture at
Hamilton College, and his kind hosts took him out to a celebratory meal at
Lotus Garden, one of the best Cambodian restaurants in Utica NY (and since they have a big Cambodian community, there's a lot of them).
The food was beautiful as well as
delicious. Holt had Amok with fish, made
the classic "run amok" joke, and the waitress forgave him.
Barbara had to stay home, so
comforted herself with a childhood favorite: beef franks, sauerkraut, and baked
beans. No pictures.
