Penne alla Saffi

Monday 1 October
We meant to make a pot roast this afternoon, but Barbara didn't get home early enough to give it the four hours it needs.  So she put the marinated meat, onions, and tomatoes together and got it going in the oven, but didn't add the vedge.  Luckily we had asparagus, Schad's ham, and cream in the fridge, so made a quick Saffi for dinner instead.
