Tuesday 5 May
On Sunday, Holt and Barbara walked
down through the Findlay farmer's market, and Barbara paused at the end to look at some
plants while Holt proceeded on. On the way back, each of them,
separately, bought a giant Napa cabbage from the same farmers, who told
Barbara, "we had these on the side, and nobody looked at them - now, we
put them in the front, and three people have bought them already." Yes, and two of them were us.
We used only a half of one to make
nice Kathy's Napa cabbage slaw, which is one of our favorites.
The dressing seemed rather sweet -
maybe we've been scanting that Tablespoon of sugar all along without mentioning
it.
Our protein was the leftover legs
and thighs of Sunday's cilantro chicken, reheated under steam in the combi oven, so they were nice and juicy.
