Barbara called ahead and got
Kroger's to cut us some extra thick sirloin steaks, which she thought would
save time.
But the asparagus that was
supposed to be on sale for $1.99/lb. was completely absent from the produce
section. After much waiting and prodding,
they found a box all the way in the back, and because Barbara had been so
patient, a nice manager let her have it for half price.
Eventual result: a big grillful of
steak and asparagus, the latter served with hollandaise because we still have two eggyolks
left from making granola (there's got to be some excuse).
