Saturday 29 August
Atlantic salmon was on sale at
Kroger's, so we got a nice meaty fillet and brought it home. We mixed up some Dijon and our own grain
mustard with honey and smeared it on top of the part of the fillet we were
going to eat (the rest was left bare for adaptable leftovers).
We ran it under the broiler until it was good
and browned and the medium-rare fish just flaked.
For the side dish, we roasted four
cobs of corn in their shucks in the combi-oven, just as above, to be sweet as
summer. Two got eaten, and two were left over, to be combined with their friend the salmon as a future chowder.
